The Soft Matter Scattering Initiative

The Soft Matter Scattering Initiative (SMSI) is a joint ORNL and NIST collaboration born from the NSF and NCNR CHRNS and ORNL collaboration Soft Matter Sample Environment Initiative. Its goal is to increase the impact of neutron scattering in soft matter science. It began in 2026 as a collaboration between Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

This wiki is the initiative's shared working space. It is being set up: for now its pages are visible to members only, and accounts are created by the wiki administrator.
